For several years now, United Airlines has been on the San Francisco Fleet Week airshow schedule. This year’s participant was this 747-400, making several low passes over the Bay in clean and dirty configurations. I’ve often thought it would be fun to be on board as they maneuver the aircraft a tad more aggressively than one would normally see. United currently operates 19 of these jumbo jets and will continue to draw down the fleet in favor of newer, more efficient aircraft. Nikon D500 w/80-400mm, processed with Aperture.
