A Southwest 737 splashes through rainwater after landing at SFO. A weather system triggered reverse operations at SFO, allowing me an uncommon view of aircraft landing here. Southwest was the launch customer for the -700 series and has almost 500 of them in their fleet. The Boeing 737 Next Generation series has been in production since 1996 with over 7,000 aircraft on order.
