Boeing 717-200, Hawaiian Airlines

@ Maui, HI

June 2022

This Hawaiian 717 taxies for another inter-island flight from Maui to Honolulu.  Their B717s are named after local birds, in this case “ʻIʻiwi” (Scarlet Honeycreeper). Hawaiian operates 19 of these aircraft, servicing inter-island travel.  The Boeing 717 airliner was designed and originally marketed by McDonnell Douglas as the MD-95, a derivative of the DC-9 family, prior to their 1997 merger. Production ceased in May 2006 after 156 were built.  Fuji X-Pro2 w/18-135mm.
