This 717 climbs out after takeoff, headed to one of the neighbor islands.  Hawaiian 717s and 767s are named after birds, in this case Po’ouli (a forest bird).  Hawaiian operates 18 of these aircraft, servicing interisland travel.  The Boeing 717 airliner was designed and originally marketed by McDonnell Douglas as the MD-95, a derivative of the DC-9 family, prior to their 1997 merger.  Fuji X-Pro2 w/18-135mm.
