This Hawaiian 717 sits on a rainy tarmac getting ready for another inter-island flight.  Their B717s are named after local birds, in this case ‘Apapane (Hawaiian honeycreeper). Hawaiian operates 20 of these aircraft, servicing inter-island travel.  The Boeing 717 airliner was designed and originally marketed by McDonnell Douglas as the MD-95, a derivative of the DC-9 family, prior to their 1997 merger. Production ceased in May 2006 after 156 were built.  Fuji XE-2s w/18-55mm.
