Story: Blue Giant starts when Dai Miyamoto is gifted a saxophone by his brother and moves to Tokyo to chase his dream. Dai wants to become the greatest jazz musician in the world and it doesn’t take him long to meet a like-minded person in Yukinori Sawabe.

The pair decide to start a jazz band and are joined by Dai’s friend Shuji Tamada to make a trio of passionate jazz fans. What follows is the rise of their band, as they continue to turn heads as they look to bring jazz back into popularity in Tokyo.

Verdict on Blue Giant

Blue Giant is a musical comedy following three aspiring jazz musicians who dream of bringing the music back to life. However, they need to perfect their act, as they become more popular in the booming Tokyo music crowd.

This is an anime for the jazz lovers of the world. It brings every ounce of passion for the music to bring blistering performances. If you are a fan of anything to involves commitment to improve, you can relate to everything going on in this movie. It even makes a point that natural talent isn’t going to be something everyone has and working hard is what makes you a star. There is a pure joy and effortless ability to entertain and enjoy the ride in this movie.
