Blue Eggs and Cupcakes
Yesterday my nephews came to spend the day with me so in an effort to keep them out of trouble I decided to get them into the kitchen so they could make something. My eldest nephew, Alejandro Lopez who's 12 wanted to make his version of Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham. So he got blue food coloring and dyed the eggs with it, and called it Blue eggs and Bread. Now it looks gross but they all ate it and said it tasted great, they are even planning on using a different color next time. Red Eggs and Bread anyone?
Later on my other nephew Christoper, who's 7 wanted to make cupcakes. He had brought a Duncan Hines cake mix and Frosting from his house so I helped him with the cake mixer and showed him how to scoop it into the cupcake liners. After it baked, he let it cool and then frosted it and put candy sprinkles on half and chocolate sprinkles on the other. You can't really go wrong with cake mix but I must say it tasted really good, it came out nice and moist.
This is just a fun way to spend some quality time with your children or younger siblings. So would you ever eat blue eggs or is it something you will never touch in a million years?
Comment below and let me know if Blue Eggs & Cupcakes will ever make it on your menu. Until next time TTYL dolls!
