Verdict on Blood Star

Blood Star is an action thriller following a woman traveling across New Mexico who gets hunted by a psychotic Sheriff. He starts playing games and toying with her, as she starts using her street smarts to stay alive.

This movie brings a mix of ‘The Hitcher’ with the psychotic stalker being the local Sheriff. It adds a new layer to the story of a victim fighting to survive, as they have even fewer people to turn to. However, it does seem to forget some of its own rules with certain things which happen. Away from the core cat-n-mouse side of the story, we get a bigger battle Bobbie faces about her future decisions. This is a nice little thriller, even if the overall idea seems a lot more farfetched than it should be.
