Blogging Interval

By Sophiecussen

I've sat in front of the computer screen on and off for the past few weeks trying to word this post in the manner it deserves but apart from coming up with eloquent words that are of no use I had just better get to it.

This blog has been a personal project of mine for nearly three years. Over that time I've learnt, I've grown, I've experienced and most of all I've interacted with so many lovely readers.

It would seem fitting, therefore, to put this blog on a break at this time. The break may be temporary or it may be permanent. I haven't quite worked that bit out yet.

The time is right because I need to push myself even further and take all I've gathered from this blog onto somewhere new.

The Forget-me-Not Cultivation blog was as much about personal development as it was a place to encourage others to get into growing their own food and I believe that has been well achieved.

I'm grateful to every single one of the 3,478 followers that have joined me along the way. Your conversations and feedback comments have always been a great encouragement. You've been an inspiration to me.

In fact you are one of the reasons I've been deliberating so long about putting the blog on hiatus. What if I don't do better? What if I never achieve anything ever again! This blog has become a serious part of my life, keeping me to account on all my ideas and processes, and so have my readers.

As I began writing this in 2013 I've gone from a single, fat, unfit, gardener to a married, ( nearly ideal weight), very fit, food cultivator in 2015. (I haven't missed a week of posting in nearly three years).

I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the posts and interacting with readers on a daily basis but like everything in life, I think the blog has reached a good place for taking the break and looking at new directions.

I could carry on publishing week after week about my next challenges, how to plant seeds or another 10 ways to save the world. But the thing is: the internet is full to bursting with all this kind of material. It's everywhere, every day and eventually it all turns into a massive cloud of internet grey noise.

You don't need more internet noise in your life, cluttering up your inbox.

So it's time to put Forget-me-Not Cultivation to bed for a while as I go and work on my next projects and challenges.

I'm not leaving internet land forever. You can always catch me on Twitter, Instagram or just drop me an email, I'd really like to hear from you.

The blog will stay where it is, it's not going anywhere either. All posts can be found in the archive or just look under the 'Topic Covered' menu for something in particular.

Until we meet again can I say a huge thank you to every single one of you for taking the time to follow Forget-me-Not Cultivation and reading all my posts. It's been a real pleasure to have you share my journey.

Remember: growing your own food is easy. It makes your life and the world much, much better. :-)

Best wishes,

Sophie
