St Pauls London Gemma Horton Blogger Interviews

What is your blog about?

My blog is about anything really! I blog about film and television, my attempts trying to find a job in journalism and all the internships I have done. I also blog about fashion and just random musings.

What inspired you to start your blog?

I was inspired to start a blog because I realized that I had so many thoughts running through my mind that it was nice to write them down. It is fun to express your own opinion and share what you have learnt from any past experience.

When did you start your blog?

I started my blog in February but lost some inspiration for writing just after that, and then I spent the summer interning and doing other things. Now I’m back to blogging on a regular basis!

How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?

There have been times I’ve struggled to stay motivated, especially with exam season and deadlines for essays and work. Life sometimes becomes too much. But most of the time I stay motivated because I will think of an idea during the day and at night, just before I go to bed, I will write about anything I have thought of. Blogging helps me to relax after a long day so the thought of writing before sleep definitely keeps me motivated.

What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?

The most frustrating aspect has to be writing a blog post and wondering just how many people will see it. I’m relatively new to getting my blog out there so doing that is the most challenging aspect.

In the future where do you hope your blog will take you?

A career in journalism! I want to write about things I love in a conversational tone and I hope that my blog can show this. Formal writing and writing about serious issues isn’t for me. I like to be fun, give advice where I can, and not take things too seriously.

Have you met anyone interesting/famous on your blogging journey?

Not yet! But if Tom Hiddleston is reading this post then an interview would be lovely!

If you could do only ‘one thing’ today then what would it be?

I would spend a day in a different city somewhere I have never been before. Maybe exploring Paris? Or sitting in a gondolier in Italy? I would do something which would show me more of the world.

If you would like to feature as a ‘blogger interview’ then please have a look at this link

Kind Regards

David Ridings
