On Saturday I attended the Blog On MOSI conference at the Science and Industry museum in Manchester.
The event was hosted and put together by the lovely Laura Seaton over at Tired mummy of two and the conference bought together hundreds of bloggers and brands.
The events activities began the night before with a blogger meet up at the Hard Rock Cafe also in Manchester. This was a great night, I was quite nervous beforehand but managed to meet some lovely new blogging friends. We all got lots of cocktails with the opportunity to make some ourselves.
There was lots of food too in canapé style this included many mini burgers which I thouroughly made the most of. There was also chicken and over lovely things followed by cakes and fruit.
It was a great night and I think I was a little drunk by the end of it and didn't get to bed until 1.45 am. I had to be up the next morning for 6.30 too.
The night ended with a lovely Hard Rock goodie bag!
Saturday was Blon On MOSI day and I could not wait. This was my first Blog On and also my first blogging conference.
The event kicked off at 9am with signing in, meeting other bloggers and chatting to the various brands who all had their own stall. The brands there were James Villas, Graham Brown , DW Fitness, Hancocks jewellers, QVS, Tropic skincare, Black Sheep Wool, MOSI, Smoking gun PR, Hotter shoes, Democracy PR, Swizzels Matlow, Thinking Slimmer, Brainstorm LTD, Little more drinks.
Many of these brands gave out a lot of freebies and it as great to beable to swap details and hopefully work with them at some point.
Here is my breakfast which we helped ourselves to on arrival.
After meeting, greeting and breakfast we went into the main conference room which held various informative sessions throughout the day. These included photography, Vlogging, You tube as well as useful information on how to approach brands and making the most of our blogs. Lots of guests speakers giving very informative talks. In between the sessions, breaks for drinks and cake.
So many chances to mix and mingle with other bloggers. I lost count of how many people I spoke to.
Lunch was really good too with a selection of sandwiches and salad.
After lunch we split into two groups for the beginners or advance blogger sessions. I chose beginner as I feel I still have a lot to learn about blogging and again it was informative with some useful blogging tips. Our final sessions were again split groups depending on type of blog - lifestyle, travel, beauty. I chose lifestyle as my blog seems to be a bit of everything. I found this session especially useful. It must of been around this time that the Proseco came out too along with the massive amount of cake kindly provided by Hungry house.
After the wine and cake was our final and rather sad goodbye session with a speech from Laura and Duncan Murray from Evolution PR.
And of course the thing hundreds of bloggers had eagerly been awaiting - The Goody Bags!
We were all told to bring a suitcase but I had no idea just how much I would be bringing home and my tiny case was no where big enough for all of this.
My kids will be enjoying all these sweets until Christmas too.
I had an amazing day and met some lovely bloggers. I was quite sad when it was over and already looking forward to Blog On 2016!
