Welcome to 2026. I've been quietly blogging for the past few months, largely just so I have a creative outlet outside of work. Despite my continued compulsion to write, I no longer have time to research and prepare the long-form history pieces I'd been doing for The Avocado. So, it seemed appealing to dust off this old fossil whenever I need to type something up. Don't expect regular updates, or that I'll review all the latest releases, but if I do watch a movie worth talking about I'll try to post something about it.
It's weird to think it's been 18 years (!) since I started this blog, and that I'm now fast approaching middle age rather than an acne-scarred college kid, but such is life. But I appreciate anyone who's still out there, reading my infrequent posts, or maybe discovering my old ones.
