Blanketman have shared ‘Leave the South’, the latest single to be taken from upcoming debut EP ‘National Trust’. Covering the extremely important issue of the north/south divide – one that is showing no signs of improving following our government’s attitude towards Andy Burnham last year – it’s a breezy slice of jangly indie pop that actually focuses on missing friends who stayed up north and coming to terms nowhere is actually the utopia we all want to reside in: ‘And maybe it’s about time I took a train. I don’t think they’d miss me anyway. I can’t find a good reason to stay and although the north can be quite grey, it’s too expensive down there anyway’.
