Dior has named the K-pop singer, Blackpink Star Jisoo as one of the faces of the fashion house’s Autumn/Winter 2021 range. The company citing her “contemporary femininity” as a reason for her inclusion.
‘As the latest global Dior ambassador for both Fashion and Beauty, @Sooyaaa___ from girl group @BLACKPINKOfficial perfectly encapsulates the House’s contemporary femininity.’ Dior wrote on Instagram, alongside a collection of glam images of Jisoo modelling some of their creations.
She also served as a major influence for the #DiorFall21 series, which she describes as having “an inherent boldness that is felt when the garment is worn.”
‘I myself may seem calm on the exterior, but as an artist I exert a more powerful attitude on stage.’

The 26-year-old also shared a package of Dior thank-you gifts. This includes a bouquet of roses and a message from Maria Grazia Chiuri, the brand’s artistic director. She also posted a few selfies in the mirror wearing some of the collection’s pieces, including a patterned bucket hat.
Jisoo was appointed the Korean ambassador for the Dior Beauty cosmetics line. Since 2019, she is with Dior. Jisoo is the newest BLACKPINK member to be named a global ambassador for a French luxury fashion house. She is following in the footsteps of Rose and Lisa. They were named global ambassadors for Saint Laurent and Celine, respectively, last year.
Jennie, on the other hand, has been a Chanel model since 2018. It comes at a busy time for the BLACKPINK ladies, as Rose is expected to release her first solo album later this week.
