Normally when I hear the word cape my mind automatically goes to some kind of super hero (batman anyone?). The cape has been a thing for a bit but I have never found the ‘perfect one’ to actually commit to and purchase.

I recently found this black velvet cape blazer and I will say it was love at first site. I loved the idea that this black cape really looked like a blazer but is actually a cape. The beauty of this velvet cape blazer is that essentially it can go with anything (remember this post? I was wearing it here!). Although I paired it this particular day with jeans and a simple white blouse for a more casual look, I think it would also be gorgeous for dressier occasion (cocktail party, wedding, night out).

I can honestly say that this velvet cape blazer was a great addition to my closet because it is the perfect piece that you can wear over and over again!
