Verdict on Black Cab
Recap
The movie follows a couple who get a taxi home, only to discover the driver has plans for them. They must figure out what he wants and how to escape before the night ends.
Best Parts
The performances are great, with Nick Frost being chilling and Synnove Karlsen being a good resourceful woman in distress. We are kept guessing throughout the movie, as we wonder what the driver wants and once it is revealed, it brings a disturbing truth to the story. However, the most disturbing factor in the story is how Anne continues to let Patrick back in her life, which presents the domestic abuse situation.
Worst Parts
The movie does keep us guessing a lot but relies on too many twists and turns. A few of these don’t feel earned from the previous chapters in the story.
Final Thoughts –Black Cab has great performances which grab our attention.
