What came first, the chicken or the egg? If the answer is the egg, at least we know which way it's going thanks to the 3.5cm (1.4”) long tail trailing from the egg's aft end. Not including the tail, the egg's a bit smaller than an average chicken egg but if we count the tail the egg measures an impressive 8.5 cm (3.4”) in length.
The odd egg was reported to Chinese media outlets on May 27th, 2012, and originates from a farm located near Shuangzhong town in eastern China's Jiangxi province. Rumors are the egg was laid by a hen suffering from a fever – evidently more cowbell was ineffective in this case.
Eggs with tails have been reported before though it's by no means a common occurrence. Even so, if the farmer expects to retire off any proceeds accrued by selling the Egg With Attitude he's sorely mistaken. Hopefully the experience won't get him down but if it does, just remember to always look on the sunny side of life. (via Gog.com and Daily Times)
