Review
I just have my heart smash then glue back together then smash again and again. What the heck. Why?!
A character dies. While this person remained in the background of the story, this prominent to the main character. That is the first heartbreak.
The second is when Rya is talking to Mikey and she ask him why he join Lore. Mikey leans in to whisper in Rya’s ear. To keep the conversation between them the words in the speech bubbles become scribbles. The next few panels just say it all with Rya’s face going from shock to abhorrer to tears rolling down her face. In that bitter sweet moment my heart break.
Then in a deep devolution of love to each other the two kiss and my heart shatter again. Why?!
I can not say anymore about the story. As this is the second to last book in the series, it is rising my expectation for the ending way too high. It can either be a good satisfying ending or…I might throw my kindle across the room and breaking it.
One will cement Birthright as one of my favorite graphic novel series. The other will give me a broken kindle.
Figures cross you all 🤞. Let’s hope its the good ending and not end up in the dark timeline where everyone has goatees.
