Tomorrow I’ll be celebrating my 29th birthday. I can’t believe I’ll seriously be 29! When I look back and reflect on how much I’ve changed in the past decade I’m frankly astonished. I was always smart and good in school, but in my college years I was the quintessential party girl. It was fun while it lasted, but I’m so glad I grew out of that phase. It wasn’t until I went back to school in 2009 to begin working on my MBA, that I really began to mature and grow up. I bought my first house, and experienced the passing of a parent – my dad – which to this day is still probably the most difficult thing I’ve been through in my 29 years. But I’m so happy to be the person I am today. In about 5 months, I’ll be a wife and that’s something I look forward to every single day. Every year, I like to sit back and think about what I’d like to accomplish during my next year. I’m still working on my list, but I’ll be sure to post my goals and aspirations for the last year of my twenties (eeek!) sometime this week. At least I don’t look a day over 25 right? I thought so.
