The traditional alms-giving ‘Kiri Ammawarunge Danaya’ was held at the Abhayaramaya Temple in Narahenpita in view of the birthday of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday morning. The members of Maha Sangha led by Chief Incumbent of the temple and Chancellor of Colombo University Ven. Muruththettuwe Ananda Thera chanted seth pirith to bless the former President.
