LOL. Around a month ago, a close friend who was visiting for coffee came running in from outside and said, ‘have you seen Minnie?’
Minnie is my one year old street cat. Around 5/6 weeks ago her brother disappeared and we were very upset. We were all very close to Mickey. Yes, my son did name our cats after Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse…
Anyway, I ventured outside to see exactly what my friend Penelope was talking about. Sure enough, Minnie had Rosey, pink nipples. We had a quick google and it seems this happens three to four weeks after conception. Like I said, that was over a month ago.
Few days ago, Penelope passed by again and had one look at Minnie and said, ‘I reckon she will go within the week’. I panicked. My maid has left. I have two toddlers and a 6 month old golden retriever puppy…. And 5 bedrooms and bathrooms to clean…
‘It’s ok,’ she said. Kittens pretty much take care of themselves, well their mother does.
We are so excited. We are real animal lovers and BoKhalid has his camera on stand by. Last night, I think she went into labour, lots of purring and she was being super affectionate and a few other things which are too gross to mention. This cat, has typical street cat personality. When I rescued her at 3 weeks old from the street, she literally spat at me. She didn’t really change much over the last year. As she has got older, she is much better but still will ‘claw’ you if she feels threatened in any way… And that can be from just petting her back.
Since 7pm last night, she has literally been glued to my ass, she isn’t that type of cat but she literally does not want me to leave her side.
You can see her bump slightly in the photo above, problem is, she is such a petite cat anyway, she really is just bump, she doesn’t look big enough to be having more than a couple but who knows.
As of 8am, there are no kittens yet. I’m keeping an eye on her food, apparently they stop eating shortly before.
