How fantastic was Series 8 of Britain & Ireland's Next's Top Model?! I don't know about you, but I loved every second! As always with every series I really love seeing what their concepts for shoots are, and discovering how the stylist may create a certain look....
It most certainly always keeps me glued regardless... but I have exciting news involving the BINTM Series 8 contestants...
Last week the winner of Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model, Letitia Herod
and all the contestants from Series 8 of the hit TV show were at an
exclusive press event ahead of their appearance at this year's Clothes Show Live (Oh yes that's another reason to head to the Clothes Show
Live!). Charley Speed who was previously a judge on the show and
international model for Calvin Klein and Emporio Armani as
well as numerous other catwalk shows and Matt Henry, catwalk coach from the show also appeared for the day.
I was lucky enough to interview Letita Herod. I wanted to give her a quick few questions just to see how everything has been since winning BINTM....Here's what she had to say.
What has mainly changed in your day-to-day life since winning BNTM?
The
main thing is that I’m so busy every single day! I am getting to meet
so many interesting people and traveling a lot. A highlight so far has
been presenting the award for Best Video to JLS at the MOBOS at the
weekend!
You obviously have a passion for modelling, but if you couldn't do that what would you be doing?
Studying physics at University – you can do so much with a physics degree!
Who was your main inspiration that made you want to be a model?
I
loved watching the Victoria’s Secret fashion show – it really made me
want to become a model! I’m also inspired by models such as Heidi Klum,
Coco Rocha and Lara Stone.
Do
you feel there is a large amount of pressure put on women to look good
because of the beautiful models they see in adverts & campaigns?
I
think that times are changing and people are realising that you don’t
need to look like a supermodel. People are beautiful in their own way.
Has your attitude changed about your looks since modelling more?
Not
really – I’ve always looked after myself. Obviously I do have to focus
on my appearance a bit more as the industry is very image focused.
What are your tricks and tips for keeping a good figure like yours?
I go to the gym and eat healthily as well as drinking LOTS of water! I also try not to wear makeup unless I really have to.
What can we expect next from you?
Watch this space – I have lots in the pipeline!
Last but not least, what are your plans for Christmas 2012?
To
spend time with my friends and family back in Surrey. AND to appear at
Clothes Show Live in December as part of the BINTM Live event. I will be
modelling the latest collections on the BINTM catwalk along with the
other contestants!
Oh my! This years Clothes Show Live at the NEC from the 7-11th Decemember, is looking to be the most exciting one yet! I personally cannot wait to see BINTM at the live show and of course do lots of shopping! Are you convinced to go yet?!
