Introduction
The binomial nomenclature system is used for giving scientific names to living organisms. as the name indicate that bi means two Nomial means to give names clature is an organization that giving a name to a living organism. in this system each organism giving two the first name is genus while the second name is species.
Carl Linnaeus (1707–1778), a Swedish botanist, invented the modern system of binomial nomenclature
Roles of binomial nomenclature system.
- The scientific names usually are written in Italics writing Homo sapiens but if you writing with hand the after written the name a baar is drawn on the lower side of the name such as rose scientific name Rosa indica.
- The first always giving genus which the first letter is capitalized while second name-giving species which never be capitalized. for example onion, the scientific name is Allium cepa.
- if you are writing a paragraph about any organism’s life, firstly you denote full name such as if studying about crow’s life firstly you will write Curvous splender but in the second attempt you must use C. splendor.
Significance:
The simple name has no scientific basic in old-time one species have given many names in a region such as Payaz in English Onion in Punjabi Gunda in sirayki Basal or Vassal in different language have a different name but in science, they have only one name Alium cepa another example black bird given name to Ravan and as well as crow but in science, they have only one name Curvous splender.
