The Verve Remixed series is returning with Verve Remixed: The First Ladies (due July 16th) which is a 13 track collection of classics by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan and more remixed by a slew of today’s talented producers and DJs. The first single is the Toro y Moi remix of the iconic Billie Holliday’s classic “My Man” and if we can expect this kind of deconstruction on the whole album it should be a treat indeed.
