Earlier today, Big Time just dropped its latest patch. There are plenty of new content, balance changes, VFX/SFX improvements, and much more in this patch. Let’s check it out!

Big Time Patch v0.30

Gameplay

  • Epoch City: The game’s core hub, Epoch City, has shifted! Epoch City’s gates are ajar for business. The FTUE comes to a close with this new social zone that offers fresh speech, personalities, and venues (such as the Training Temple and the Bazaar) with challenges and activities to complete. In the future, keep an eye on this area as we grow and add more information.
  • New Experience for First-Time Users: The game’s initial levels have been revised. Now, players will access the game through a more engaging and well-designed interface that walks them through the key elements and lore of the game.
  • Party Finder: Gamers may now sign up to have their positions in parties assigned to them automatically across different regions. This makes it simple and quick to establish groups without requiring human coordination over chat, etc. Additionally, participants in parties found through Party Finder will get a drop bonus once a day. In order to make it as simple as possible for people to find a group, we hope that this will inspire many players to utilize Party Finder.
  • A new race of enemy is shown! The Void, along with a number of brand-new enemy species, have overrun the country. Players will need to be alert and vigilant in order to help safeguard time against this new danger.
  • Redesigned progression and user interface for skill trees.
  • Pan, zoom, and reset features have been added.
  • Now all skill specs and stats are in side panels that fold up.
  • With the addition of HotBar to the SkillTree, players can now equip abilities directly on the screen by dragging and dropping them there or by tapping the Hot bar’s assigned number while the ability is being hovered over.
  • As levels rise, the associated tabs for those points display the available points for expenditure.
  • Points can be added or removed using the Left and Right mouse buttons.
  • A couple of UI items on the Skill Tree Screen (the top left player info that reflects the in-game disposition and the confirm/cancel button) should have their dispositions updated for uniformity.
  • The player stats spec modifiers in the stats tab are more visible (green with a + sign to indicate the advancement to the next level).
  • Contextual icons: Decoration & Personal Metaverse icons only appear when appropriate (no longer requiring a Hotbar slot).
  • New Time Warrior abilities added:
  • Rock Slug — punches a large rock in the direction of your enemies.
  • Payback — surrounds the player with an auto-triggered counterattack.
  • Quake — smash the ground to deal impact damage along with some aftershocks.

  • Shadow Chakram — deals radial damage with each leap.
  • Power of Mystic Shadows — shadows sap the offensive power of enemies affected.
  • New Battlemancer abilities added:
  • Ice Orb — casting a slow-moving ball of ice that reaches out to damage enemies with icy tendrils.
  • Ice Burst — launches shards in all directions dealing ice damage to enemies.
  • New Battlemancer Eruption passives added:
  • Lava Pool — casting an instance of Eruption will leave behind a lava pool to deal further damage.
  • Collateral Damage — casts of Eruption now add additional lava projectiles that are spewed forth.

  • New Techblade Shadow Beam passive added: Healing Mod — adds a modification that provides a minor healing component.
  • New Weapon Gem: Ice Spike — randomly generates columns of ice that thrust from the ground to deal damage in the target’s vicinity.

Balance

  • The Rage ability is now impervious to minor hit reactions that would have interrupted it for players.

  • Now, Piercing Cry works better on targets that are shielded.

  • To make it easier to connect with foes, the 2H Axe L1 melee attack has been modified.

  • The power of Shadowblast has been enhanced. With each upgrade point, the damage has now risen.
  • Ice Lance has been given further abilities. Damage rose, and armor no longer mitigates damage.
  • Improvements have been made to Into the Breach: the duration and cooldown have both been extended.
  • The length of the Grasping Roots ability effect has been extended, and it can now be upgraded.
  • The sap ability cooldown has been lowered, but the cost of energy has gone up. Furthermore, there has been added damage.
  • Leaping Lunge: During the ability sequence, players can now avoid obstacles or activate additional abilities for a longer window of time.
  • Leaping Lunge: This ability’s cost and cooldown have been adjusted to make it more appealing.
  • Fixer Drone ability will no longer stop movement when cast.
  • Summon Turret Artillery cooldown has been reduced.

Levels

Venture Dungeon: A new kind of dungeon experience was introduced through an update to the Desert dungeons. Because Venture Dungeons are non-linear (unlike Strike Dungeons), players are allowed to explore and find and finish a specific number of objectives in whatever order they desire. After completing the necessary amount of tasks, players will be able to face the boss at the end of the level. Alternatively, they can decide to locate and finish every level objective, which would affect their overall score.

Anomaly Strike dungeons have undergone a number of adjustments to lessen the necessity for retracing.
