Hero is the biggest two wheeler company in this country. Who are planning to launch a bunch of new bikes and scooters in the next 2-3 years. These include the electric version of the low-cost bike Splendor and the high-performance electric motorcycle. The news may be significant to those who currently own Splendor.
When will the electric Hero Splendor come?
There was a vague hint that the popular gasoline-powered bikes might gradually go electric, but no company confirmed. Hero Motocorp put an end to it that day. Autocar India claimed in their report that the Hero Splendor Electric could be launched in 2027. It is also said that Hero has been manufacturing this bike for the last 2 years at the company's technology center CIT in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
A source familiar with the matter claims that the entire project has been named AEDA. And, the company plans to produce 2 lakh Electric Splendors a year. Apart from this bike, the company aims to bring more electric models. Notable among them is the Vida Lynx, an electric dirt bike, which will be launched in 2026.
10 thousand units of this bike will be produced every year. Initially the bike may be launched in foreign markets.
