  • Jeff BoudreauSince "there are always more genres of music than just folk at the fest" perhaps "Philadelphia Music Festival" would possibly be a more correct description of what is presented. 
    Pete Seeger's festival is named Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival (aka “the Clearwater Festival” or “Revival”), not limitiing the genre presented and always having a fine mix. 
    When the producing radio station changed its format from folk to AAA and rebranded itself, it changed the name of the festival it produced from the Boston Folk Festival to the "Boston Music Festival." 
    This year "New Bedford Summerfest", which I thought to be an apt name as it regularly includes pop and singer-songwriter artists in addition to folk, Celtic and other genre, rebranded itself as the "New Bedford Folk Festival."
