That's right I have been approved as press for the 2020 BFI London Film Festival which is super exciting and something I have wanted to try and do for a few years now. Obviously this years is going to be a little bit different with majority moving online, which works out very well for me being in the North East.
Over the past few years I have just happened to have London trips in October so booked in and watched a couple of films in that time, The Lady in the Van and A United Kingdom. Something that I throughly loved and enjoyed, always amazing to see a preview of a film even more so when its at a film festival.
This was the first time I applied to be press and I couldn't believe it when I got the email to say I had been approved. A very exciting moment in a year that has been destroyed by events and trips being cancelled. So some new films as part of the London Film Festival seems perfect. That means that here on Let's Go To The Movies I will have plenty of LFF updates especially on 8th September when the line up is announced. We already know that Mangrove will be opening it and Ammonite will be closing it. So not long to wait to find out everything else that will be part of it. Then I can start planning my timetable!
