Beware The Rides* Of March

By Gail Aguiar @ImageLegacy

Last week I posted that I hoped that Easter weekend would be less eventful than our 30-hour bus ride, and it was, in a way. We ended up not going to the home village for Easter because Paulo got the flu, most likely picked up from our very long bus ride — aka, the Germ Incubator. So it was very uneventful, indeed. Be careful what you wish for!

Poor guy. (For some inexplicable reason, all my friends spell Paulo’s name as Paolo, even the ones who’ve met him.) He worked really hard at the wedding in Germany, between the decorations and the Spanish translations. He probably didn’t get enough rest in Germany, between the wedding and the bus ride, and his immune system was diminished at the worst time. It’s been a week and he’s still not 100%.

In the meantime, like I said: be careful what you wish for!
