BET Awards 2020: Public Enemy Deliver Monumental Black Lives Matter Performance at BET Awards with Nas, Rapsody, The Roots, Jahi and YG
Last night's BET Awards went off like a power keg, partially thanks to the undeniably explosive opening performance by Public Enemy and friends. Nas, Rapsody, Jahi, YG and Black Thought helped Chuck D and Flava Flav with vocal duties, each contributing fresh verses to the 2020 update of "Fight the Power", with Questlove contributing on the decks.
Rarely will you ever see something this powerful on a network of any kind. Black Lives Matter permeated the message completely. Congrats to all involved for bringing revolutionary hip hop to a new generation.
