Smart TVs have changed the way we have perceived TV to be. Right from those black and white boxes to these slim, sleek and portable LCD screens, Smart TVs have indeed jumped generations ahead than our thinking. A time was when we could only flip through few channels. But today the advent of Smart TVs has given us the freedom to access and enjoy numerous facilities. Smart TVs vary from one another. The high end Smart TVs are superior in features and technical specification in comparison to a low priced Smart TV. There are numerous companies namely Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba, etc… who have launched their Smart TVs and have created immense competition amongst themselves. The basic feature of online and Wi-Fi connection is same across all the smart TVs.

1. LG Smart TV:

LG Smart TV is considered because of its simplicity and clear viewing experience. The screen occupies numerous options in large icons. This increases numerous sources for viewing videos on home screen. The user can view photos, videos or MP3 file in Mac, networked PC or NAS drive. The apps in LG are beautifully displayed and support all types of files. MediaLink, an app by LG automatically adds data and movie artwork. SmartShare, the software in LG has included interesting apps that would drive the viewer completely. It includes 3D viewing as well. Panasonic has customized its options by taking design references from Samsung and LG. My Home Screen allows the user to customize the layouts and create self designed icons and widgets on screen. Though the screen is more or less similar in all the models yet the customization option has become its USP. The screen size of Panasonic Smart TV comes in 42, 47, 50, 55 and 60 inches.

3. Samsung Smart Hub:

Samsung Smart TVs allows user to browse the screen on Smart Phone. Samsung offers a wide range of options for the users to choose from. It not only gives an option to browse internet but it also allows getting connectivity access on your Smart phone. The remote options can be accessed via smartphone as well. The Samsung UE40F6400 and UE55F8000 model of Samsung Smart TV offers gesture and voice control options which cannot be found in other Smart TVs. The Samsung Smart TV is available in 32, 40, 46, 55 and 64 inch screen.

4. Sony Entertainment Network (SEN):

Sony has come up with an all together new look in its range of Smart TV. The Smart Screen is crisp, newly created icons and latest user interface. The SEN Button on the remote allows the user to view a comprehensive list of options. The model KDL 47W805 and KDl – 55W905A are equipped with a remote control which is ultra slim fitted with NFC chip. It enables the Sony phone to get connected with TV. It is available in 40, 46, 47, 55 and 65 inch screen.

5. Toshiba Cloud TV:

In the Smart TV segment, Toshiba is positioned last. It has not shown any special improvement in comparison to its previous Toshiba places platform. The technical specifications do not exceed or are not at par with the succeeding ones. The screen size of Toshiba ranges from 40 inch to 55 inches.
