If you are looking for a smart kitchen assistant, you have more options than ever before. There is Smart displays to guide you through recipes or to view instructional, even live cooking demos. You can use Bluetooth thermometer Monitor cooking temperatures or get a smart big kitchen gadget like Samsung Family Hub Fridge to be the command center of your smart kitchen and your home.
But just when we thought smart kitchen utensils were at their peak, smart countertop stoves got their money's worth, and they're way more exciting than a traditional oven. These microwave-sized stoves perform dozens of tasks, including cooking, baking, frying, dehydrating, and even proofing dough.

Some work with voice assistants; others detect food with AI cameras or scan packages of frozen food or pizza from your local grocery store. Here are the standout smart ovens that we tested.

The Amazon Smart Oven is only $ 250. Other convection ovens on this list are much more expensive. The Amazon top-mounted oven comes with a free third-generation Echo Dot that you need to connect to Alexa for voice commands such as "Alexa, preheat the oven to 350 degrees".
The Amazon Smart Oven doesn't have intelligent food recognition, but this kitchen device has a scan-to-cook for packaged food (mostly from Whole Foods from Amazon) and great voice control from Alexa. With Alexa, you can control over 30 preset cooking functions and more.
This is the only countertop oven we tested that doubles as a countertop microwave oven. This means that with a second countertop device, you no longer have to clog up space on your countertop. You can easily throw away your old microwave oven and replace it with this multifunctional smart oven. You can also use it as a fan oven, as a food warmer and for roasting in the open air.
In our tests, the Amazon Smart Oven has the cooking capacity to deliver great whole chickens, delicious air-fried fries, and a solid 1,000 watts of microwave power. For all of these reasons, this smart oven is the most powerful that we have tested and our best recommendation for a countertop oven. Read our Amazon Smart Oven Review.

The $ 299 Tovala Smart Oven is based on Tovala's chef-curated meal sets. These meal sets cost $ 12 per serving, but you can buy the oven without the meals and still get plenty of them.
This is because the Tovala Smart Oven 750 can scan different foods from your local store and use steam, bake, grill and toast functions to prepare your dish as it cooks. There is no compatibility with voice assistants, but there is a Tovala app that you can use to control the oven, view recipes, and more.
Amazon's Smart Oven also scans groceries, but only a handful and most are from the Whole Foods inventory. If you are interested in the Tovala toaster I would recommend trying the meal sets as they are easy to make, tasty and interesting. The oven often goes on sale or for other uses for less than $ 299. So if price is an obstacle, check out the Tovala website for deals. Read our Tovala Smart Oven review.

The second generation June Oven is the best oven we've tested for food detection. There are many cooking mode options with on-screen recommendations for cooking various foods and various convenient accessories. Use it for air frying and dehydrating, or as a hot air oven for baking and hot air cooking, or as a toaster for toasting.
The June Oven works with Alexa for voice commands. With the June app you can control the oven from anywhere and view a live video of your meal while it is cooking. An intelligent cooking function tracks the core temperature for the perfect cooking time.
You can purchase the oven in standard packaging that includes a food thermometer, roaster, baking pan, wire shelf, and crumb tray for $ 499, or gourmet packaging for $ 699 that includes baking pans, air fryers, a recipe subscription, and an extension warranty. (Note: This item is currently out of stock, but availability on Amazon tends to fluctuate.) Read our review on the June oven.
We are just getting started
This category is only a few years old and we've seen a lot of growth. We recently tested a limited edition smart oven from Whirlpools WLabs. The Suvie kitchen robot started at Kickstarter in 2018 and started shipping last year; It uses water to cool and cook your entire meal. Then there's Anova, whose CEO Stephen Svajian announced plans for the brand's new smart oven for kitchen accessories in September. It is expected to be released later this year.
These ovens may be the best right now, but they certainly won't be the last. More and more companies are showing interest in this category, so we will continue to test new models as they appear.
