About the Book
Corr Syl the Warrior is the story of developing conflict between Humans and the ancient multi-species Tsaeb civilization. When the Humans begin tentative forays across the border into Tsaeb lands, the Tsaeb send a young warrior named Corr Syl who is descended from rabbits to investigate and recommend a response.
To this point in his life, Corr Syl’s only responsibility has been to obey his parents and his warrior trainer. But now he is becoming interested in the beautiful but aloof Rhya Bright, and he is receiving unwanted assignments form his local district council. When Corr begins to investigate the problem, he learns that spies have infiltrated his district, and he realizes that many lives are in danger. He catches a glimpse of something truly evil, and with no time to spare, recommends a plan that will end the immediate dangers, but that might start a war.
The district council sends Rhya Bright with Corr. Rhya discovers an odd chemical that becomes a critical part of Corr’s plan for dealing with the Danog. Corr and Rhya work together on the plan and become very close. When the Tsaeb apply the plan, everything goes smoothly, but they trigger a simmering hatred that unleashes a massive global strike against the Tsaeb.
With its intricate plot, beautifully crafted landscapes, sympathetic characters, and rocketing intensity, Corr Syl the Warrior presents an original look at the impact of humanity on the Earth environment. Beautifully written, almost too literary for genre fiction, the story’s tongue-in-cheek humor, hints of romance, and touches of science will delight a broad spectrum of readers.
