- The Great Barrier Reef, Australia: The Great Barrier Reef is the largest in the world—in fact, it’s so big that it can even be seen from space! Stretching almost 1,500 miles along the northeastern coast of the land Down Under, there are over 4,000 separate reefs, cays, and islands and over 1,500 species of fish. The Great Barrier Reef is also the burial ground for around 1,500 shipwrecks as well, making it the cream of the crop of scuba diving.
- The Red Sea, Egypt: Another great diving destination, the Red Sea is home to hundreds of miles of coral and over 1,200 types of fish. The crystal clear warm waters of the Red Sea provide great visibility and a comfortable swim, and there are plenty of instructors to teach you how to dive if you’re a first-timer.
