There is no easy way to win War zone But you can greatly improve your chances by choosing an ideal place to land right away. The map of Verdansk is huge, so there isn't necessarily a right or wrong landing site. Depending on your skill level and where the gasoline is located, you should have a plan in your back pocket that suits your needs. This guide covers some basic landing tips, as well as some great landing spots in general.

Basic tips for choosing a place

Best Places to Land in Warzone

The first thing you want to do before choosing your landing site is to evaluate the flight path of the aircraft right from the start. You can actually see it before the game starts while in the pre-game lobby. At this point, take the time to go to your map and see the aircraft's flight path so you know where you are going. You won't be able to fully see the throttle just yet, but it will come in handy to check the plane's path as early as possible. Before you are ready to choose a spot, there are a few things you need to consider.

Ideally, you should have a good understanding of your own skills. This will help in choosing a place. For example, we would not advise beginners to land in high traffic areas. Likewise, seasoned players are likely to get bored if they land too far from the action. Take a look at the map, the direction of flight, the gas and all contracts around Verdansk at this point.

Some players - regardless of the throttle - end up in the same spot every game. If this works for you, you will have more power. However, we strongly recommend choosing a point based on the aircraft's throttle and flight path. The most effective strategy is to land near a contract so that you can initiate it and hopefully make some money, loot, and a quick look at the position of the gas (this is what you get for making Recon contracts).

For beginners, it is recommended that you land with Recon contracts (denoted by a flag icon) or Scavenger contracts (denoted by a magnifying glass). These don't require combat and (usually) reward you with useful extras. Recon contracts are a bit riskier as you have to capture a point that shoots a torch into the sky and reveals your location to enemies. In our experience, this usually doesn't make much of a difference in the early stages of the game. Scavenger contracts are the safest and only require opening three chests, all of which appear in close proximity to each other.

The other contracts like Most Wanted and Bounties are much tougher as they will likely lead to gun fights with other players. When you feel confident in your skills, get one of these contracts. Otherwise we recommend staying away. It's worth noting that the sooner you get a Most Wanted or Bounty contract, the easier it is because the players you encounter are unlikely to have powerful endgame equipment (usually).

Be open to changing your path depending on other players in the blink of an eye. For example, if you have a point in mind but tons of players are going to the same location, it is best to change your path to a different location if you want to be sure. If possible, try to land on another contract that you feel comfortable with, e.g. B. Recon or Scavenger.

The final tip is to pick a spot based on your team size and skill level. Having a team of four makes it easier to survive in places with more traffic, especially if you're all on the same page when deciding a route. Playing alone is a little different as you have no one to pick you up when you go down. So think about all of that.

Use gas and airplanes to your advantage

We refer to the picture above to help you choose a great landing spot. There is a lot to consider when looking at the map, but the main thing is to look at the circle (which represents the path of the deadly gas) and the line which represents the path of the plane. As you can see, the plane's path is heading southeast towards the city center. Because of this, you will find a lot of players who have a tendency to land along the line that marks the plane's path. With that in mind, if you want to stay away from the action, it might be a good idea to stay off the trail. In this case, the airport is one of the busiest areas, followed by Superstore and Storage Town - simply because of their proximity to the beginning of the plane.

You will notice on the map that we have highlighted a reconnaissance treaty at the bottom of Promenade West. This is a great place as it's far enough away from the action and yet close to the edge of the circle. Again, if your skills allow, you can target the busier areas like superstore, but we do not recommend it for new or inexperienced players. Based on the image above, Downtown isn't a bad place to land as it's easy to hide between buildings and there are plenty of contracts to choose from.

In short, we recommend landing on the edge of the circle by contract, away from the plane's path, to avoid a fight and make sure you grab good stuff along the way. If you are a seasoned player, you can easily tweak this formula and land closer to the center of the circle, but you should take care of the other players. With all of that said, let's go through some great spots for all skill levels.

Downtown

If the gas allows, the downtown landing is superb due to the crowded buildings, contracts, and vantage points. Even if a dozen players go to this location, there is enough room for them all - this makes it easy for you to lose enemies who might be chasing you. Ideally, we recommend getting a few contracts, collecting as much money as possible, and finding a tall building that overlooks the rest of the map. That way, you can quickly bail off when things get hairy. Note that this is a densely populated area, but thanks to the many places to visit, you will find enough action to have fun while playing with relative safety.

One strategy you might want to use is to hide in one of the tall office buildings. Make sure you cover every entrance - especially the elevators with rappels. If you can place a mine or claymore right in front of these rappel points, it will make it a lot easier for you to take out enemies who may be trying to sneak up on you. When the gas approaches, run to the roof and jump to safety.

port

The port is usually a safe place depending on the direction of flight. If a group of players land nearby, consider changing your course. Otherwise, landing here will serve you well. Just make sure you get a deal or two and try to raid the main multi-story office building. This is kind of the main point where you are likely to encounter enemies. So make yourself familiar with it.

The nice thing is that the harbor is usually far from any danger so you can get dressed, grab some gear, and prepare before heading inside. As a precaution, we recommend that you avoid walking on top of the cranes (unless you want to quickly grab an object and set it down) as these are highly visible and are usually the first thing people do when searching that area consider out. When you're done at the port, you have many major hubs nearby to choose from, such as downtown or farmland.

West Promenade

This is another place that is usually less busy. On the West Promenade there are many small houses and multi-story apartment buildings full of loot and contracts. It's like a smaller version of downtown as it's condensed and has lots of buildings to explore, but on a much smaller scale. When you have all the loot you need, you can make your way to Boneyard or head east towards the park. Promenade West is usually safe and is close to other hubs that are worth visiting.

Superstore

Best Places to Land in Warzone

This may be a controversial entry, but Superstore can be a great place to land if you know what you're doing. The previous entries are for gamers who want to avoid contact with enemies, but Superstore is just the opposite. In the match we played to capture the above picture, we literally counted 11 other players (that we could see) all of them going to the superstore. So it is definitely not for those who want to stay secret. What you will find here is great loot and the ability to take out other players. This is great for taking in any loot they may have caught along the way. Plus, it's easy to watch out for enemy footsteps since it's such a compact area. So if you can find a decent weapon right away, you have an advantage.

The strategy we like to use is to move away from the other enemies and get in through a low-traffic entrance. This changes depending on the other enemies and the way the plane is coming in. When inside, try to listen to other players and walk towards a supply of weapons and pull yourself together. Keep going until you feel safe to escape the area. Usually someone is on the roof overlooking the surrounding zone. So be careful when you get out and try not to just run outdoors when you exit.

Stadion

Best Places to Land in Warzone

Landing in the stadium is very similar to the superstore as it is a busy area. But it's high risk / reward, and luckily, if you know what to do, you can survive. The stadium has grown in popularity since it recently opened for season five. On average, we encountered around seven enemies at this location, most of them landing right through the huge hole in the middle. If you do, you will likely be killed. We therefore recommend choosing an external entrance - either through the garage or through one of the doors on the ground floor. Like the superstore, there is a ton of loot around the area and even secret rooms that can be unlocked with key cards (we'll get into that in more detail here).

We recommend avoiding the central part of the stadium completely. Instead, search the interior on the ground floor as well as the underground car park. Typically, you will only encounter one or two enemies at a time in the garage area. Once you have enough gear, you can head downtown for even more loot and contracts to collect. Fortunately, it's very close. Other players like to stay and wait in the stadium as it can be a relatively safe place once the majority of the enemies are cleared out. We find this method useful, but it's a lot less fun. So choose a path that suits you and deal with it.

Great landing sites are those with lots of equipment and contracts and close to useful hubs to hang around safely. Note, however, that a good landing spot is only as good as the player. If you are inexperienced, even landing near a lot of loot will not save you from players who have spent dozens of hours in War zone.
