Many pubs and restaurants have turned to take-out and meal kits to feed us all during the lockdown and the range is pretty amazing - London is one of the best dining cities in the world after all. Sometimes just one type of food will do and there's nothing quite like a hearty pie when it's cold, dark, and unnerving with the rain outside. These are the best pie deliveries in town.

Willy's pies
Willy's Pies is a new kid on the block, but they already deliver some of the best pies in London. The pies change weekly with only four options; a meat, a vegetable and a sweet pie and the pillar, the molasses pie. All savory pies arrive ready to bake. Willy also has big balls, he's grafted into some of London's best restaurants, Brat, St John Bread and Wine and Rochelle Canteen, so it's safe to say he doesn't do anything.

The van
Nicholas Balfe launched Levan To Go, offering a seasonal menu of small plates, a dish to share and a tarte tatin that you can just finish at home. There are two options, meat and veg, and it's the latter that includes Levan's epic mushroom, potato, and vacherin pie. Cheese, potato AND pastry that you can on the couch in your jogging pants, what more could you ask for?

Grateful pies
There is only one pie available at Grateful Pies, so it's a good job that it's a good job. Created by Farika Holden, who was inspired by a dish from her grandmother's cookbook, the pie has an olive oil crust and is filled with green lentils, apple, onion, celery, mushroom, potato and spices. Yes, it's a plant-based pie and each serves six so you can feed a lot of vegans with one of these babies.

The sniper
The Marksman is back with a menu of provisions, which means you can get your hands on some of their classics right at home. They've narrowed it down to elite dishes only - rolls, toast, and pies - and all you have to do is finish them off. Pies can even be frozen, so it makes sense to order a whole batch, doesn't it?

Camberwell's arms
This South London pub is known for great food and doesn't let the lockdown get in the way by offering pies and sides for delivery. YUM.

St John Bread and Wine
It's not technically a pie delivery as they're only available for collection at the Spitalfields restaurant, but we couldn't include St John - and going for one is the perfect excuse to get out of the house and have some not. They make a different pie each week, think of flavors like pheasant and trotter and pork and potato, and they come in an enamel dish (which you keep and then fill with your own pie attempts later. ). And for every pie sold, £ 1 is donated to the Streetsmart homeless charity.
