Over the past few weeks I've enjoyed compiling, writing and collating The Daily Constitutional's list of 35 London Shops for Xmas shopping 2015 – if you missed the series, catch up with the whole list HERE.
Where possible I tried to go off the beaten track, while staying more-or-less within central London. I hope you enjoyed the list, and have as much fun using it as I did putting it together.
I'm just back from my Christmas fruit and veg shopping trip to my favorite local shop – the greengrocer Tony's Continental on the High Road, East Finchley.
And I'd like to give them a shout-out too, they deserve a mention alongside all the fancy chocolate shops and perfumeries on our list.
The guys at Tony's have been providing East Finchleyites with their five-a-day since 1971. By my reckoning that's more than 80,000 portions per Finchleyite over five decades. Not bad, eh?
They also do great work supporting the local community and local schools.
Thanks guys, happy Christmas to you all!
