Regardless of how much you exercise, fitness trackers can be a great way to get or stay in shape without having to invest in a full-fledged smartwatch (not everyone has the money to pay for on Apple series watch) . An activity tracker can hold you accountable for your physical activity, which you get the most out of with each workout. Many models have additional functions such as a sleep tracker, a calorie burn tracker, a heart rate tracking and much more. This data is then shared with an app so you can keep track of your fitness goal or goals.
There are dozen of great fitness trackers to choose from (many of which we haven't tested yet), but we've rounded up four of our favorite activity tracking devices based on price, shape, and function. In making my decisions, we considered factors like ease of use, battery life, and features like heart rate monitoring and calorie burning. Many of them require you to use an app to track your progress and these apps send smart notifications when you reach a specific goal or need to get off your bum and move. Regardless of your fitness level and the type of physical activity you enjoy, this list can help you find a wearable device that will monitor your activity and help you achieve maximum fitness.

If you're looking for a fitness tracker that acts like a smartwatch with no added bulk, the Fitbit Charge 4 might be the perfect solution. It checks all the boxes when it comes to fitness features, with better training tools for athletes than other Fitbit devices like the Fitbit Ace or the Fitbit Flex. It has a built-in GPS that allows you to track your workout outdoors regardless of your phone. If you want to keep track of your data, download the Fitbit app, which is a great way to see how much progress you've made and how close you are to achieving your fitness goal. It can also make mobile payments easier and the option to reply to texts and messages if you are an Android user. Read our Fitbit Charge 4 review.

If you're looking for a fitness band that's even more discreet (and affordable), you might as well consider the Fitbit Inspire 2. You don't get the built-in GPS or mobile payment options, but it does have the essentials when it comes to health and fitness, including heart rate tracking, automatic exercise detection, and detailed sleep analysis with Fitbit Premium (free for one year with purchase).
It's also the closest thing to jewelry with a screen that I've worn before. When you feel like putting it on, the silicone sports bands can easily be swapped out for a leather or stainless steel mesh band (sold separately). But the biggest advantage: battery life. Charging can take up to 10 days, while charging 4 ends after about five days if you turn off the GPS. First, read our Fitbit Inspire 2 recording.

For less than $ 40, the Mi Band 4 is the most affordable fitness tracker you can buy. It has most of the features you get in a more expensive fitness tracker, such as: B. an AMOLED touchscreen that is easy to see in sunlight, heart rate around the clock and sleep tracking. The battery life is also unmatched as it gives you around two and a half weeks of use before charging. The only thing it misses is the variety of exercises; It can only detect running, walking, cycling, or swimming, so any other workout like Pilates or yoga would have to be traced under the generic "exercise type". I know what you're thinking: this is not a tracker. But even if you remove all smartwatch functions, the Apple Watch can hold its own as a stand-alone fitness tracker. And the cheaper Series 3 has everything you need. Not only does it monitor your health and activity like the other trackers on this list, but it also gives you access to dozens of fitness apps, from treadmills to strength training routines, to guide you through your workout.
