The DDPAI A2 dashcam is available in two variants. First is the hardwire variant and the other one is the regular one and the one we have here is the hardwire variant. So in the box, we get the user manual and it has the info about the connections and different controls. This dashcam doesn’t have a battery or any screen which makes it more reliable in the car. They can operate in high or extremely low temperatures without any issue.

In the box, you also get this amount by which you can attach the dashcam to the windscreen of your car. We get this hardwired cable which you need to connect directly to your car’s fuse box. Here you have the two fuse connectors where one will be connected to the accessory fuse slot and the other one with the battery fuse connection and then finally we have the ground connection cable and the other end goes to the camera and it’s a micro USB cable and guys this cable connection is quite safe. There is also a fuse in both the cables and apart from that you also get these spare connection cables.

Starting with the features you get a wide 140 degrees camera in this dashcam and the aperture is f 2.2. This dashcam comes with a built-in 3xsg sensor and supports a MicroSD card up to 128GB and as mentioned earlier. You get the wi-fi support in this dashcam and you can connect to this camera using the app. The fuse box was under the dashboard which was a little difficult to access but the connection process was really simple and you just need to connect the cable as mentioned in the user manual and about the mounting. You need to mount the dashcam just behind the rearview mirror.

The app interface is really easy to understand and once you connect to the camera. You can go through different settings and here you can change different options such as parking monitoring g sensor sensitivity and also the low voltage level. You can also download the time-lapse and the previous videos onto your device from the app itself. There is also a 3xsg sensor in this camera which can record a short 10-second video in case of an impact. Now talking more about the 24 hours continuous parking monitoring. So when you lock your car this dash cam captures a time-lapse video at one frame per second. And, according to me, it’s a very useful feature.

Now if you’re thinking about the battery as mentioned earlier. There is no battery in this dashcam and this dashcam. It has an inbuilt ips car battery protection feature which basically means the camera is taking power from the fuse box. You also have this voltage level setting in the app. Here you can select the minimum voltage level and as soon as the car battery reaches that certain voltage level. The camera turns off automatically to save the battery of your car and lastly about the low light performance. To be honest, the low light performance of this camera is just average. You won’t be able to read the registration number of the car in front of you in some cases. But for security purposes, this dashcam is more than enough.

Overall DDPAI A2 is a budget dash cam that you can install in your car for your own safety in case of an accident or theft and guys if you’re in the market for a budget dashcam. Then I highly recommend you to check out this model DDPAI A2 is not a perfect dash cam and there are higher models available which offer better video output and GPS support but they come in the price range of rupees 7,000 – 10,000 but in under rupees 5000. We think that the DDPAI A2 is a decent package and if it’s going to be your first dash cam then you won’t regret this purchase and as usual.
