Galeta began in 2011, starting out as a market stall in London and selling a bundle of baked goodies.
Today, Galeta are home to the 2012 Great Taste Gold winning Brownies, chewy Oat & Raisin Cookies, Hazelnut & Choc Chip Cookies and Raspberry Pastel de Nata.
They sell 8 flavours of cookies, 12 macaroons and a wide selection of cakes and sweet pastries, all baked by hand.
All the delicious products contain natural ingredients including free range eggs. Ingredients are sourced as local as possible and all made to order front scratch to ensure ultimate freshness.
The products are supplied both to businesses and consumers across the UK. The more fragile products such as pies and cakes are available for delivery to those in the London area. The majority of the products can be delivered by courier throughout the UK.
I was kindly sent a delicious tray of brownies to try.
The brownies arrive in a box tray and there are approximately 15 individual squares in each one.
On Galetas website it says these are the best in London. Well personally I would say they are the best in the UK. I have tried and made several brownies but nothing beats these. They are lovely and very addictive.
These brownies are made with finest 70% cocoa callebaut Belgian chocolate. They are very rich, gooey and chocolate heavenly. Some may call them sickly. I would call them delicious.
The top is like a light slightly hard biscuit layer and the bottom is pure chocolate fudge heaven. The squares are by no means small either, they are very big and chunky.
It is hard to describe in words just how nice these brownies are. A tray of these delights costs £14.95. It works out about a pound per square which is well worth it. Just beware that they are extremely addictive and it’s very tempting to just have another one and then another one.
Looks like I will have to hide the rest from Ryan.
