Story: Berlin Syndrome starts when Australian photojournalist Clare Havel (Palmer) heads to Berlin for a holiday. She is exploring the city when she meets handsome stranger Andi (Riemelt). However, after a steamy start to their relationship Clare learn a disturbing reality of what she has found herself in.

Andy locks Clare in the apartment, refusing to let her out, Clare searches for a solution to her problem and only comes up against the aggressive nature of Andi. It becomes a battle to see if she can get out before he has finished with her.

Verdict on Berlin Syndrome

Berlin Syndrome is a mystery thriller following a tourist that finds herself trapped in an obsessive controlling relationship. She finds herself locked in his apartment as she searches for a way out.

This is a movie that shows how somebody can capture someone in an abusive relationship. It shows how the victim is left helpless and forced into trying to find the best way out. The two sides show how trapped and helpless someone can become and how normal the controlling person can seem in everyday life. in the movie, we get to see how the victim tries different ideas to escape the world she has become trapped in. It is an edge of the seat as we are left wondering how far things will end up going.

Final Thoughts Berlin Syndrome is a tense disturbing thriller.
