Benghazi Scandal Blows up in the Face of the Righties

The right has tried almost as many times to try to make a big scandal out of Benghazi that it isn't. It was a tragedy; there were some minor screw ups, but the reality is that a full month before the attack on Benghazi, our military, through the African Command, offered more military security - and was turned down by the Ambassador himself, because it was his call to do so, not Hillary Clinton's. Now, routinely, the facts are not the friends of conservatives; they prefer to make shit up, and then smear it on the walls, in a highly partisan fashion.
The news claims about the editing of talking points to lie was proven by the release of the emails to have been edited to make Obama look bad, and that was not true either. It was a total fizzle, as well.
Once again, the right wing media and blogosphere -- and yes, conservative commenters here too, come off looking ill-informed and just plain silly. They keep following their double down on made up shit policy the same way they always double down on failed positions and policies and ideology; conservatives don't do change -- they CAN'T apparently change, or at least do not want to so badly they would prefer to fail, and to look mean and ridiculous.
The Daily show this week has done a much better job of counter-cutting down the attempted hatchet job by the right than I could possibly achieve.
What all of this failure on the part of conservatives is doing is to make Obama look better, not worse, and has not affected the popularity or confidence in Hillary Clinton the tiniest bit. It is however, helping to erode the already steep slide down the shitter of confidence in what the right says, particularly in accusations by the right, who have falsely cried wolf WAY too many times.
Once again, the right has got nothing, and looks stupid for making a whole lot of noise about it.

To emphasize how the right gets things wrong, and how they are incapable of learning from their mistakes, the way Stewart does it is a beautiful thing.  I suspect that I'm far from the only person fed up with the Faux - and Fox - outrage.
