Frank Bielec, the interior designer who played in the hit show Commercial spaces, is dead. He was 72 years old.
The beloved designer of died Friday of complications from a heart attack, Commercial spaces co-star Vern Yip confirmed on Instagram.
"I am so, so sad. Incredibly funny, wise, kind and talented, Frank always lent the right perspective and needed lightness in every situation, "Vern wrote in the post. "Thank you for always being nice to me. Always. I will miss you dearly my friend. The world is darker and much less colorful today, without you."

Cast member Ty Pennington recalled his audition with Frank years ago in a tribute to the "quick" and "amazing" laughter from his casting companion. Their chemistry was undeniable from the first moment of their meeting.

"I remember hearing from him in Tennessee so many years ago that he asked me to build him a box (for flowers) so I started to measure his size," wrote Ty on Instagram. "The cameraman realized the joke and started laughing while shaking the camera. It was clear that Frank and I immediately had the chemistry of comedy in front of the camera."
"Saying goodbye to Frank" turned out to be "the hardest part" of the start Commercial spaces for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Ty revealed.
"When I left the show to go do[[[[ Extreme makeover], he shed tears and said, "Your star is too big and too bright for a single sky ... Go shine and share it with the universe." According to Vern, Frank is survived by his wife Judy, their son Matt and two grandchildren: Mason and Ava.
