An image of “Pretty Polly” from my first trip to the Wings Over Camarillo airshow in 2017. The successor to the P-39 Airacobra, deliveries of the Kingcobra began in October of 1943 and the USAAF determined that the P-63A was not comparable enough with the P-51 Mustang to put into combat. This rare warbird is owned by the Palm Springs Air Museum and is one of six airworthy examples remaining. Nikon D7100 w/18-200mm.
