The Vertical Challenge helicopter airshows were a hugely popular series of events put on by the Hiller Aviation Museum, drawing helicopters of all types to the show. Here, during Vertical Challenge VIII, the news chopper for NBC affiliate KNTV makes a slow pass as it looks for a place to land. First flown in 1967, more than 7,300 of these Bell 206’s were built by the time production ended in 2010. Nikon D70s w/80-200mm, processed with Aperture and Noiseless CK.
