Getting my game face on at The Milton Club…
So last Wednesday Thomas Cook threw a fabulous a party and invited lots of awesome bloggers. Do you know what really excites us? Mini chocolate tarts, Vegas themed cocktails and crystal embellished lashes as the airline company discovered when they invited us to experience a night of luxury at the prestigious Milton Club. I’m the Queen of Diva strops so when I received an invite to the #DivasGlamVegas party in Manchester, I jumped at the chance. The party was thrown to celebrate the introduction of a super affordable direct flight from Manchester to my favorite place on Earth. VEGAS! I hopped on the train in full diva attire, Jimmy Choo clutch in hand and was met with an Uber taxi driver who immediately threw a Diva strop when he couldn’t find me amongst the sea of people coming out of the train station. How clever of Thomas Cook to get all the taxi companies to play along with their theme! I met the lovely Laura from What Laura Loves at the entrance and we ventured in to The Milton Club together where we were welcomed with a bellini!
The Milton Club was a new thing for me and I’d definitely return (Posh bar, posh VIP area, posh cocktails, posh everything). We were treated to glittery eyeliner flicks and ombre (ombra, ombray hombre??? I never know how to pronounce it) lips before showing us to the roulette table where I had rather a nice time throwing pink chips around and hoping for the best. Just look at the concentration on my face!
It paid off as I won £400 Diva Dollars!! There was a bottle of Prosecco up for grabs for the person who won the most diva money but I was pipped to the post by another blogger. *sad face* There were signature cocktails of which I tried them all apart from the one that looked like a White Russian as drinking milk based cocktails is just something I’ve never been able to do. I can confirm the Flamingo was a winner (the pretty pink one you probably saw on my Instagram). Did I mention the canapes? I showed my usual restrained and ate 4.
Just when I thought we couldn’t be having more fun, Britney showed up. ACTUAL Britney Spears. OK so maybe I’ve told a small white lie there but it was the best Britney look alike I’ve ever seen. My BFF and I went to Vegas last June with one aim. To watch Britney perform live. However, after we booked our tickets, we realised that June was the only month that she wasn’t performing. Thank you for making my Britney dream come true. I loved fake Britney so much that my first sentence to my Fiance the next morning was ‘Can you believe there was a Britney??!!’ My only regret is not asking her to teach me some Britney dance moves! *grabs hot pants and python*
We left with mini bottles of Prosecco in hand and mini aeroplane shaped gummy sweets (best train snacks ever) which were inhaled before I had a chance to take a photo. I found about 4673 Photo booth snaps in my bag the next day that should never be seen by anyone else ever unless they have been filtered beyond all recognition on my Instagram. Laura I salute you for rocking the Bob Marley hat. What happens in The Milton Club stays in the Milton Club?
It was an amazing event and the perfect opportunity to meet some of the familiar faces I see on Twitter from time to time. A huge thank you to the Thomas Cook team for treating us to a night of luxury and for making all of our lives easier with their super affordable direct flights. One lucky blogger has the chance to become a roving Diva reporter for Thomas Cook! Who wouldn’t wan to report on the sights and delights from Las Vegas? *crosses fingers and toes* Follow the #divasglamvegas for all the gossip from the event.
