There are people in the street and who purposely ride the train to beg for money. Their plight is quite annoying when they use their predicament to run a scam.
All of these people are not worthy of pity. They do not deserve a hand out because they are not legitimately helpless.
Some beg just to get money for drugs. Some beg and already have a source of public assistance/income but do not want to work.
Some use their physical disability as a method to gain sympathy for a few extra bucks.
There are so many low and dishonest people who make it bad for others who are really in need for a handout.
Sometimes people want to give but cannot always trust who to give to. No one wants to give away their hard-earned money to a crook.
Sure, it may only be a few dollar tips here and there but why support one’s drug habit, or enable them to get by cunningly instead of them decently trying to get up on their feet?
There are places to go for aid and community resources that are ready to assist.
No, not every organization is an assurance, but they are an option, and an opportunity to do better. These shelters nowadays are filthy and unsafe though there are other alternatives to further look into if possible.
