Walking along the Concourse A of Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, you will come across the Heineken Lounge, an attractive green bottle shaped structure you cannot miss.  Facing the Marhaba Business Lounge, this catchy spot calls you to walk in to check out it’s menu and drinks. A small place it is, but it’s adequately designed to make you spend more than two hours in it without even noticing.

The place:
  • A greenish ambiance decorated with spells of black
  • Green Heineken bottles cover the bar and columns
  • Many draft machines stand alone on the bar: the cold versions and the normal ones
  • Three kinds of black wood boxes create intimate spaces with electricity plugs and RCA music outputs
  • Sofas and relaxing individual chairs
The menu welcomes you with a note: “Welcome to the Heineken Airport Lounge. Sit back, relax and refresh with a great selection of premium beverages accompanied by a tasty array of high quality continental dishes. Perfect for a quick bite or a more leisurely retreat while watching the world pass you by.”

Breakfast, salads, snacks, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, accompaniments, drinks and hot beverages. Draft beer comes in two possibilities: Heineken and Heineken extra cold. One for 36DHS and the other for 38DHS.  Or if you prefer, you can choose from nine different bottled beers and cider.

Today, I didn’t feel like ordering food so I can’t give you my opinion bout that, but I did enjoy a -2degrees glass of beer glass with free Internet connection, an electric plug in a cozy ambiance. I recommend this place, especially if you have a 6 hour wait between flights. Time passed by quickly. The only thing that annoyed me is the waiters attitude. They all make you feel unwelcome if you’re not ordering food. They ask the same question again and again coming back to make sure you want a paid refill or an appetizer with your beer. An aggressive marketing strategy that I didn’t appreciate much.
