Yes. The Gargoyle is there. On the label. On the neck. And even on the cap.
But this time around, there's no Arrogance or Self Righteousness to be found.
Deliciousness is what this IPA is all about. It says so on the label.
Lemondrop and El Dorado Hops? According to the label, they're in there.
Enjoy by 7/13/2015? Perfect! Cause today just happens to be 7/13/2015.
Never let it be said that I don't meet my deadlines!
As far as the beer itself, it sure is pretty. Even without the funky lighting in the above photo.
Pale orange color. Fluffy off white foam. A bit of lacing. Photogenic for sure!
But this beer isn't just another pretty face.
Orange marmalade. Honey. Biscuity malts. A touch of pine and lemon zest.
It's all in there, and it smells fantastic.
It's smooth and creamy with a touch of fizziness when it hits your tongue.
Sweet honey is what you taste at first, followed by some lemony bitterness and a bit of alcohol bite (7.7% ABV will do that).
Things soften at the finish with more sweet malts and a mild hoppy bite on the back end.
Delicious is what they call this IPA. I concur.
