Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Mmmmm. Pretzels and beer. Can't go wrong with that combo! But how about a hazy beer to go along with those pretzels on a "lazy, hazy, crazy day of summer"?
The fine folks at Oskar Blues must have cranked up the Nat King Cole Station on Spotify while they were toiling away in their Brew Labs, because on today's episode of A Tasting at The Murder Table, we'll be discussing their Can-O-Bliss Hazy IPA. Here's what they had to say about this beer which was released in early May of this year:
A hazed-out and hopped-up IPA, Can-O-Bliss Hazy IPA (7.2% ABV) is brewed with an unprecedented combination of super dank Strata, aromatic Cashmere, quirky Enigma, wine-like Hallertau Blanc and peachy-pine Eureka hops.
The unusual pantheon of five primo hop varietals results in a hop-forward beer packed with flavors of peach, nectarine, cantaloupe and white wine. The effort and innovation it takes to cram this much hop flavor into a beer is no little thing - massive hop-driven fruitiness and aroma are the result of heavy late hop additions during the whirlpool and dry-hop stages.
Peaches, nectarines, cantaloupes and white wine flavors in an IPA? If that doesn't sound like a summer friendly IPA, then I don't know what does!
